A healthy bacterial flora is synonymous with digestive well-being. This is reflected in a correct microbiome, which is externally evident in the quality of the skin. But a digestive well-being also influences the entire metabolism.

Why is digestive wellness so important?
El digestive system has a length of up to 11 meters, resembles a large tube that runs from the mouth to the anus. The small intestine is responsible for absorbing nutrients, collecting vitamins, collagen, amino acids, etc., that we add to our diet.

El organism microbiome o balanced bacterial flora, is essential for the good functioning of the digestive system. In this way, food is prevented from fermenting in the stomach, producing gas and having a regular intestinal transit.

If our bacterial flora is not sufficiently grown and active, stomach bloating and gas occurs. This causes severe stomach pain and digestive problems, in addition to the difficulty absorbing nutrients. With lack of nutrient absorption, digestive well-being is non-existent, affecting the whole organism and reflecting externally on the skin.

What consequences are noticed on the skin when there is no digestive well-being?
Taking into account that the microbiome affects the entire organism, it is normal that it is also reflected in the skin. The quality and luminosity of this organ worsens. Nutrients in food are responsible for maintaining metabolism. These nutrients reach the skin for the formation of fibers responsible for supporting the skin matrix, such as elastin and collagen.

La good nutrition it is important since maintains the inner layers of the skin. Topical treatments, such as moisturizers, maintain the outermost layers. A dull skin occurs with a heavy digestive system, as a result of poor absorption of nutrients.

And is that when the digestion begins to be slow, there is a Chronic inflamation. It also causes appearance of bags under the eyes, RESPONSIVEretention of liquids and the famous cellulitis. Depending on the person, you may also experience breakouts of acne, rosacea, or psoriasis.

For this reason, digestive well-being is essential, since with a balanced digestive system the skin is more luminous. Through blood microcirculation, the skin will be full of minerals, vitamins and amino acids, in addition to being more oxygenated. As a result, the metabolism will work properly, producing elastin and collagen so that the skin remains smooth.

How to prevent a weak intestinal flora?
There are several causes of weak gut microbiome or flora. Among them stands out:

    • Stress
    • Diuretic and laxative drugs
    • Antimicrobial drugs, chemotherapy, antivirals, antibiotics, retrovirals
    • Vomiting and diarrhea
    • Astringent skin cleansing chemicals
    • Diet with a shortage of fresh vegetables and fruits, especially those rich in fiber
